My Cat's Paw of Approval!
My indoor cat managed to pick up fleas on a solitary escape attempt, resulting in a pretty bad flea infestation of not only the cat, but all carpeted areas of our house. I too am a favorite with the flea,s and found red spots all over my ankles from flea bites. After bathing twice with a flea shampoo, and having exterminators treat the environment, we still were battling fleas. It wasn't until we started using Frontline Plus that we started to see a real difference. It is so easy to use (it's a lot easier than a bath or vacating the house for 4 hours!), the cat doesn't object, and after 2 months of treatments, we'd yet to see an adult or juvenile flea on her. Ordering from VetRxDirect was so easy - it was delivered to our home within the week, shipping was free, and it was cheaper than the box store pet supplies or our vet's office. We'll be using VetRxDirect from here on out, and will keep our cat on a preventive program of flea control...it is not worth taking a chance!

From UndisclosedComments about Frontline Plus for CatsI've been looking for an effective flea product for three years. While none work really well I keep coming back to Frontline Plus for cats. At least it reduces the number of fleas. -

Effective Flea Relief and Not Overpowering
From San FranciscoComments about Frontline Plus for CatsHelped get rid of my cat friend's flea allergy very quickly. Saw a difference in only a week. -
It works and there's no problems, so yes.
From near Franklin Pa.Comments about Frontline Plus for CatsI don't really like to use this type of medication on them but those ticks are nasty so this seems to work. They don't seem to have fleas, so it must be killing them too. I'm careful only to use it when there seems to be a problem. -
Frontline Plus - Don't leave home without it
From North CarolinaComments about Frontline Plus for CatsI love this product. I've never had any side effects and living in the south our flea season hangs around a long time. My kitties are only allowed on the deck, but then it only takes just 1 flea to cause and infestation.-

Title accurately describes exactly what I received
From Edmond, OklahomaComments about Frontline Plus for CatsFriends have hounded me to try VetRX, but it was not until I was completely desperate with the exorbitant prices of flea medication at veterinarians and pet supply outlets that I tried VetRX's flea medication for my cat. It was reasonably priced and shipped promptly. -

Q & A

what ingredient(s) in "for dogs" is harmful to cats? we use the plus for our dogs. i compared the dosage and ingredient percentage to "for cats" and adjusted the dosage to match my cats weight. should i expect problems??
-
The major differences between the cat and dog frontline plus products are the dose of the active ingredients and the volume of the medication in the syringes. Adjusting the dose in a way that the product is not meant to be used could result in overdose or ineffective treatment. Symptoms of pesticide overdose include: nausea, loss of appetite, uncoordinated movements, convulsions, seizure, and abnormal gait. To prevent these side effects, it is important to use the appropriate product to treat your cat. If you are concerned that your cat may be experiencing these side effects please contact your veterinarian or animal poison control at: (888)426-4435. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this frontline for cats over 10 lbs? It only specifies for cats 8 weeks and older, but I need the one for a 10 lb cat? Also would it be free shipping. Thank you Lucy?
-
Yes, the frontline for cats is for all cat sizes. The 6 and 12 month supply would qualify for free shipping but the 3 month would not. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the best time of year to begin application??
-
The manufacturer recommends applying the medication all the year round on a monthly basis. The best time of year to use the medication may be from early spring to fall when flea and tick exposure is increased. However, the optimal time of year will depend on your geographic region. Your cat’s veterinarian will have the best advice for your area. Thank you, VetRxDirect

how many mls for 12lb , and how many mls for 75lb dog?
-
Frontline Plus for cats is for cats of all weights over 8 weeks of age, and the applicator size is 0.5mL. If you're asking about a 12-pound dog, the appropriate Frontline Plus would be the one weighted for dogs under 22 pounds (and again, over 8 weeks of age) and the applicator size is 0.67mL. The appropriate Frontline Plus for 75-pound dogs would be the one for dogs 45- to 88-pounds. The applicator size is 2.68mL. Frontline Plus for dogs and cats are not formulated identically, and are not intended to be used interchangeably. Thank you, VetRxDirect

If I use Frontline or Advantage on my cat, is it necessary to use a flea collar as backup? Would it be harmful to do so??
-
Frontline Plus or Advantage II are both drug therapies that kill fleas within a day of application. These medications then prevent the development of fleas 30 to 45 days after application depending on the product used. When these two products are used appropriately, a flea collar would not be necessary. A once-monthly application is recommended where there is a high risk of re-infestation. Please consult your cat’s veterinarian before combining a flea collar with other medications. Thank you, VetRxDirect
