My old dog is like new again!
From Tampa, FLComments about FlexadinMy older dog (age 9) has had hip dysplasia for several years and would have trouble getting up off the floor, fall trying to run outside, etc. Years ago I found a product called Rejuvenate Plus that has creatine as the active ingredient and it helped her a LOT. Well they no longer make the "large dog" version of the product. I tried another product that had glucosamine/chondroitin and it didn't do a thing. It was so hard to watch her go downhill because of not having that Rejuvenate. Well I found another product, that not only has glucosamine/chondroitin but it also has the creatine! She is better than ever now! Just this morning she was running outside, and she is getting up off the floors easier, and just now she was running inside the house - hurray! Timing is perfect since we have a new dog that has brought out her inner puppy - and I'm positive this supplement has helped. And, we have only been using it for 3 weeks using the loading dosage - I can't wait to see how she is on this long term - the new dog better watch out for big sister LOL If you have a dog with joint/bone problems, I highly recommend this. Pricey but definitely worth every penny to see my girl feeling good and not in pain any more. Sure hope they don't stop making this supplement! -

This product has worked worked wonders for my dog!
From Chicago ILComments about FlexadinMy pet is a giant breed and well, is 10yrs old now. Needs all the help he can get to keep him moving and in good health. Flexadin was prescribed by our vet and we started at 2.5 tabs once a day for about 3 weeks and then down to 1.5 tabs every day every day after that. In no time at all his activity level increased, seems more alert and well my Charlie doesn't act so old anymore. This product has definitely made a difference. -

Working Well
From Westchester County, NY, USAComments about FlexadinMy vet suggested this for Tasha (12 year old Retriever mix) who has become terribly stiff and arthritic in the past year. I give her one a night as part of her bedtime treats and she loves them. They seem to be working very well. Unfortunately, they are a bit pricey and one bag only covers one month. I suppose it's true of all types of medication supplements.

May I give my dog 'flexadin advanced plus uc-II" along with his "cosequin plus msm and boswellia" supplement??
-
Per the manufacturer of Flexadin Advanced Plus UC-II, Vetoquinol, the active ingredients include chicken cartilage, omega-3 fatty acid from flaxseed, vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acid from fish oil. Per the manufacturer of Cosequin Plus MSM, Nutramax, the active ingredients include glucosamine HCL, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), sodium chondroitin sulfate, and boswellia serrata extract. These two products do not contain overlapping ingredients and both manufacturers have stated that neither of these products have any drug interactions. These two products could potentially be used together but it is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian as they know your pet best.

Can I feed my 13 year old dog, weighs 20 pounds and has arthritis, 1 chew of flexadin plus daily? Thanks?
-
Per the manufacturer, a 20 lb dog should receive 1 chew daily for 4 to 6 weeks initially, and then go down to take ½ of a chew daily as a maintenance dose. It is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian to determine if the manufacturer’s directions are appropriate for your dog’s needs.

is flexiden same as osteo-3. confusing information.?
-
Pamela, The manufacturer recently stopped producing Osteo-3, and have reintroduced the product as Flexadin. While the active ingredients in the products are the same, some of the inactive ingredients have changed. There are also some varieties of Flexadin (such as the chews) which were not available under the Osteo-3 brand name. Thank you, VetRxDirect

How does Osteo-3 Flexadin chews differ from the Osteo-3 chewable tablets??
-
We no longer have access to the ingredient information for the original Osteo-3 tablets, however, we do know that some inactive ingredients have changed with the repackage to the Flexadin brand name. Without the ingredient information from the original tablets, we cannot provide an accurate assessment of exactly how the original tablets differ from the new chews. Vetoquinol, the manufacturer, would best be able to answer your question, they can be reached at 1-800-267-5707 or [email protected]. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is dehightderation a side efect?
-
Melinda, Flexadin could potentially cause an upset stomach which could in turn cause the dog to not drink an adequate amount of water. I recommend monitoring your pet for signs of dehydration, such as weight loss and dry mouth. If you believe your pet is becoming dehydrated seek the advice of your veterinarian. Thank you,VetRxDirect

We have been giving our Lab Osteo-3 for some time now. I have been ordering online. When I go to order it I am directed to Osteo-3 Flexadin Plus. Is this the same thing??
-
Richard, Osteo-3 has been repackaged by the manufacturer as Flexadin. There are more options for administration now - the manufacturer has introduced a line of soft chews. The active ingredients remain the same between the Osteo-3 and the new Flexadin. Thank you, VetRxDirect
