What is EcoEars for Dogs?
EcoEars is an ear cleanser and disinfectant created using only natural ingredients. EcoEars contains denatured alcohol, distillation of witch hazel, organic mullein leaf extract, rosemary leaf extract, tea tree oil, ionic silver solution, and brilliant green. Combined these ingredients are intended to fight persistent itching, bad smell, and dirty discharge in dogs’ ears due to mites, parasites, bacteria, yeast, and fungal infections. The natural ingredients in EcoEars combine to provide antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal qualities, and studies have shown recently that certain compounds found in rosemary can be potent anti-inflammatories and can reduce pain. Brilliant green, in particular, has proven to be an effective topical antiseptic. No over-the-counter product can replace a visit to the veterinarian to determine if prescription antibiotics may be necessary.

How should EcoEars be used?
Lay dog on side with head down and open spout on cap. Clean away any visible debris or discharge with a paper towel. Slowly pour EcoEars into ear canal until full, restrain pet from shaking his or her head. Gently massage base of ear for 60 to 90 seconds to ensure penetration. Clean away excess EcoEars with paper towels or cotton, then allow pet to shake out any remainder. Repeat for other ear if necessary. It’s a good idea to offer pet a treat when finished.
In dogs: Repeat twice daily for fourteen consecutive days - even if there are no lingering signs of infection. Maintenance applications can be done weekly or more often as needed, and in severe cases, EcoEars can be safely continued for longer periods. Do not use with other ear products.
In cats: Repeat twice daily for ten consecutive days - even if there are no lingering signs of infection. In severe cases, EcoEars can be safely continued for longer periods. Do not use with other ear products.

EcoEars
From Louisiana, USAComments about EcoEarsI bought this product about a month ago. I am still using it on my dog's ears. It has really helped. We bought so many products for her ears and this has worked better than any other. I will keep using it until I think they are clear enough. V.Paul La. -

very good product
From UndisclosedComments about EcoEarsI have bought 2 bottles of this product and it works very well and less irritating than other products and I like that is natural, the only thing that I would change is to put a nozzle type top to insert easier into the ear. -
Finally help for my old dogs painful ears.
From Gurley AlabamaComments about EcoEarsI read several reviews on this product before purchasing it. Most were good reviews a few not so much. I have to say I have been very pleased with Eco Ears. Many reviews complained about the smell. I have to admit you wonder how it could be organic, it does have a distinct smell. I must admit smell is a lot better than the smell of my dogs moist painful ear. It seems to be doing a very good job. My dog is 14 and has been fighting ear problems now for several years. Trips to the vet do offer help but not a long term fix. Several vet trips become costly quick. This product I can keep at home and start treatment as soon as I see problems. I may be able to prevent new problems with maintenance treatments. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it. -
Organic
From UndisclosedComments about EcoEarsFinally. an organic product that Cleared up stubborn ear mites when Ottomax and Eradimte did not. -
You saved him!
From New York, NYComments about EcoEarsOur Lab has had ear infections for over four years that would never go away. I took him to specialists that cost $350 a visit, and paid $50 for 10ml of meds plus more for pain pills. Finally I used Eco Ears, and the next day we had happy faces. This is my third day using Eco Ear twice a day and his ears look normal. Our Lab is so happy! This 8 year old dog is acting like a 6 month puppy! You saved him!

I read that tea tree oil is toxic for pets... What is the story ? Thank you?
-
Tea Tree oil is used as a natural antibacterial agent in various products. According to the manufacturer, EcoEars for dogs contains a safe, low concentration of tea tree oil. EcoEars for cats does not contain tea tree oil, and can also be used in dogs. According to Plumb's Veterinary Drug Book, exposure to 100% tea tree oil can be toxic and cats are more susceptible than dogs. Like any product, we recommend talking with your pet's veterinarian before using.

I have used EcoEars three times in my dogs ear. Now the inside of the ear is very red and probably swollen. Is this a normal reaction??
-
This product contains natural ingredients that may reduce the incidence of infection in the ear. The manufacturer recommends applying it twice daily for up to 14 days. Irritation to the ear is one of the reported side effects of this cleanser, however swelling and redness could also be a sign of infection. We recommend you stop using the product and see if the condition improves. If not, you should contact your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this a curative for ear infection or a preventative?
-
The proper course of treatment for an ear infection requires knowing the cause, and because only your pet’s veterinarian can do a cytology to determine the cause of a potential ear infection, your pet’s veterinarian should be consulted concerning the appropriate treatment for ear issues. These may include prescription or over-the-counter options. Thank you, VetRxDirect
