Great product, cats don't like the taste
From undisclosedComments about Drontal for CatsMy cats will usually eat anything crushed and mixed in with their food. Three out of the four finally gave in, but one had to be pilled. Best to just give it the old fashioned way. -

I have been feeding a stray cat who is at least three years old and has been in the neighborhood at least that long. I moved here recently and am interested in feeding and caring for it. It is thin with dull coat. It has lived on whatever it has hunted or found. I give it canned cat food, water, treats and dinner conversation. Can I deworm this cat??

A veterinarian should also be consulted for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism. Is it safe to use this with a lactating cat, is it safe for the kittens, two weeks old?
-
Drontal for Cats contains two antiparasitic agents, praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate. These ingredients are indicated for protection against tapeworms, hookworms, and roundworms. When given to lactating mothers, about 25% of the praziquantel dose is passed through the maternal milk, although it is unlikely to cause harm to the nursing kittens. Pyrantel is considered safe to use in nursing patients. Because some of the ingredients will be passed through the milk, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine a product that would suit your pet's needs. Thank you, VetRxDirect
