- Dermoscent Essential Skin Care Products help clean and support the skin of your cat or dog, with special concern for this natural lipid skin barrier.

How do you use Dermoscent Skin Care Products?
- Use as directed by your veterinarian.
Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On
- Manufacturer's suggested use: Spread the animal’s fur at the base of the neck, in between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire pipette onto the skin, brushing out the coat 24 hours after application. Apply 1 pipette every week for 2 months and then 1 pipette every 2 weeks. Do not bathe the animal 2 days before/after the application.
Dermoscent Essential Mousse
- Manufacturer's suggested use: Shake before use. Fill the palm of the hand with foam or apply it directly on the coat of the animal. Make sure that the area is well soaked by the product and then let it penetrate by gently massaging it in, preferably against the direction of hair growth, to achieve a better cleansing of the skin. Avoid the eyes and the nose. Remove dirt with the help of a towel. Allow to dry and then brush.
Dermoscent Bio Balm
- Apply to exposed dry, rough, and cracked skin areas including the paw pads, nose, and elbows daily or before outings.

Dermoscent
I just received this item about 10 days ago. I have a 5 year old cat who has Miliary Dermatitis. I have been working with a Vet Dermatologist to try to diagnose and manage his symptoms. The major symptom has been little bumps like millet (hence the name), which usually start around his head and ear area, and neck and then proceed to travel to the rest of his body and sometimes proceed to scab. He is on other medications, but I started applying the Dermoscent to the areas when they start, and I am amazed! They are stopping in their tracks! I carefully rub the areas the next day and the little tufts of scab/hair come right out. His coat is silky soft and I think I have found a great product to refer to the Dermatologist who is handling his case. I would recommend this even just for a healthy soft skin coat. I have to say in my case it is way more important, as it is the first thing that has worked!

Not for everything
This maybe a good product, but it didn't help my pets scratching and biting his paws. He needed a antihistamine.

From Meridian, ID, USAComments about DermoscentThe intentions of this product are good; however, with one application weekly, I simply cannot afford that with 7 pets. It would more suited to owners with 1 or 2 pets. -
After Two Weeks Started To See A Improvemrnt
From Yorba Linda, CaliforniaComments about DermoscentSeems To Be Doing What Is Supposed To Do. We Live In Southern California. The Last Five Years We Have Experienced A Severe Drought. Our Humidity Many Times Has Been Under 10%. Very Dry Conditions. Thought Salmon Oil Would help My Collies Condition. But Alas It Was A Waste Of Money. I Will Continue To Use This Product As Long As It Works. Price Is Very Fair Also. Thanks, Michael Jacobsen -
Clean and safe product ingredients
From U.P. MichiganComments about DermoscentI purchased at the suggestion of a veterinarian for my Beardie who is experiencing an unusual skin condition. It is very soothing to his skin and has a very fresh smell that is very subtle. I will only use chemical free products on my critters and this is something I will refer others to! -
Really Works
From Texas, USAComments about DermoscentMy dog's hair began to dramatically fall out. After testing for a medical reason and finding none, my vet recommended I try this product. After using for three weeks, his coat is improving daily. He also smells wonderful. It is easy to apply. I will continue to use Dermoscent. -
This stuff really works!
From Bend, OR, USAComments about DermoscentThis was recommended by my vet and it is unbelievable how well it works, and fast! Cleared up my dogs skin within 2 weeks. I am using it on all my dogs now... -
The product that works the best
From Hebron, ME, USAComments about DermoscentSo we have Black and Tan Coonhound and he is 6 years old now. He has the typical hound smell as those of us who own any type of hound dog they have. This is the only product that helps keep the smell down. The only problem is you have to keep putting it on him or after a while the smell just keeps coming back. Doesn't matter how many baths you give him. Very good product -
Swimmer's delight
From Los Angeles, CA, USAComments about DermoscentWe have a Lab who loves to swim in the pool. Not only does the chlorine dry his skin, he began to smell (we call it Athlete's Fur). Tried various Rx pills and ointments. Vet recommended DermoScent. Last resort. Wow. It got rid of the stink after 2 applications. Seems to last through multiple pool sessions too. -
love this stuff!
From Westminster, CO, USAComments about DermoscentMy dog is a Welsh Terrier. The dermatologist recommended Dermoscent to help his allergies, after fish oil on his food made him sick. It has helped with his dry skin, made his coat shiny, and keeps him smelling good for weeks. I was going to give him a bath recently but he didn't smell bad, he was just dirty. I wiped him down with a towel soaked in warm water and he was good as new! -
Didn't work this time.
From Malaga, Franklin, NJ, USAComments about DermoscentI have a dog who has some skin issues. Last time I was told to get this and it worked really well, this time it did not do anything. She has been to vet and tested for everything and there is no known cause as to her hair loss, so I was a bit disappointed that it did not work this time. -
Really helps dry skin and itching
From UndisclosedComments about DermoscentWe used this on our golden retriever who had allergies and dry skin. The relief was almost immediate when we applied it to her neck area. And it also seemed to help her breath--kept it fresh smelling. Even our vet was impressed by the effectiveness of this treatment.

Q & A
-
Did it change the package recently? The one I've been using has Aromacalm on the package.?
-
The manufacturer, Dermoscent, offers a wide variety of products. Here at VetRxDirect, we currently (as of 02/2023) carry the Essential 6 Spot-On (pipettes), Essential Mousse, Bio Balm, PYO Purifying Wipes, PYOspot (pipettes), PYOclean Spray, and PYOclean Shampoo. These products are used to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, deodorize, and provide hydration and antioxidants. The manufacturer does make a product called Aromacalm, but we currently do not carry it here at VetRxDirect. That product is a collar infused with oils meant to help decrease stress and stress-associated skin disorders.
