It contains S-adenosylmethionine, SAMe, which increases liver antioxidants to help protect the liver from damage and disease as well as supports cognitive function. Great Product
From Cucamonga,Calif.Comments about Denosyl Chewable TabletsMy Scully has had liver disease for the last 5 years...she's 13 now. My vet recommended Denosyl and her liver values have only been slightly elevated since beginning the medication.

What's the difference between this and the large dog Denosyl? Can I use this instead? Does it have to be given an hour before eating too??

According to the manufacturer the Denosyl Chewable Tablets have 225 mg of the main active ingredient, S-Adenosylmethionine, whereas Denosyl Tablets for Large Dogs has 425 mg of the main active ingredient. Contact your veterinarian to determine which product is appropriate for your dog. Available literature recommends giving this product to your dog on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after a meal.
