Composure Calming Formula for Cats and Dogs
What are the Composure products:
Vetri-Science has brought a product line, called Composure, to help dogs and cats with nervousness, hyperactivity, anxiety, or stress. Composure has a unique formulation containing C3, which is proteins found in colostrum (a mother’s first milk). Composure also contains L-theanine and thiamine, and no herbal ingredients. The ingredients in Composure do not cause your pet to be sleepy or impair their mobility. The canine formula is designed for dogs weighing 26 lbs and over, whereas the canine mini bite-sized chews are designed for dogs 25 lbs and under. The feline bite-sized chews are formulated for cats weighing 25 lbs and under. The liquid may be used on all cats and dogs. Contact your pet’s veterinarian about which product and dose they recommend for your specific pet.

Hi, we have a male 32 pound Beagle who is 5. When he was 4, he developed a fear of thunder and any kind of banging noise. Is there a difference in strength in the chews for dogs under 25 (mini's) and the regular chews for dogs over 25 lbs? Thanks.?
-
Yes, it looks like the chews for dogs over 25 pounds is a little higher in strength. The active ingredients per chew are Thiamine (Vitamin B1), 67mg mini and 134mg for regular, Colostrum Calming Complex, 11mg mini and 22mg regular, and L-Theanine, 10.5mg mini and 21mg regular. So it looks like the mini's are about half the strength of the regular chews and the instructions would be 1 chew daily for both. Thank you, VetRxDirect

There are both prescription and over-the-counter options that can help an anxious cat. You should contact your cat's veterinarian for assistance in determining the cause of your cat's behavior which will help you and the veterinarian determine the appropriate medication or supplement for your cat.
