Works well for my kitty
I've been using cisapride capsules for my 12 year-old cat for the past three years. It's very difficult to find and extremely expensive, but it helps the poor guy out with constipation. Vetrxdirect has the best price I've found.

No Effect
We tried this on our cat who has a history of constipation and borderline megacolon. While on this medicine, he went 7 days, then 6 days, without a bowel movement. I'm sure it works for some, and it's definitely worth a try, but he was on it for two weeks and we saw no effect.

So far the only thing that works
From ChicagoComments about Cisapride (Compounded)My 18 year old cat has been taking Cisapride for almost 2 years now. In combination with Lactulose, its the only thing that works. The lactulose liquid helps him swallow the capsule which can get stuck in the back of his throat. Never thought BMs would make me happy! I'd give it more stars if it was easier to administer - like in food.-

I would buy and continue to buy this product again.
From UndisclosedComments about Cisapride (Compounded)Luckily my cat is very cooperative in taking medications orally. The compounded capsules are easy to administer and don't dissipate if not down the hatch the first time. My cat(s) really enjoy the treats that are sent with our order each time. -
A solid and consistent company to work with. A+

Great Compounding Pharmacy
From undisclosedComments about Cisapride (Compounded)I'm very grateful that Vet RX Direct has a compounding pharmacy! My Pooper Bear is an 18 year old kitty, and he is very difficult with taking pills. With the powdered Cisapride tablets I can open them and mix the powder meds with his food; works extremely well! Vet RX Direct also ships very quickly! -
Better than the liquid form
From Pittsburgh, PAComments about Cisapride (Compounded)I'm so glad Cisapride is offered in these handy capsules and at a decent price. My cat gets a variety of medicines by syringe so one less is a huge plus. I used to use the liquid form but no matter what flavor I tried he didn't like it and would start to hide when he knew it was time. The capsules are easy to break up in wet food or broth pouches. You just need a tiny bit since technically this is supposed to be given before a meal. If he's feeling picky & doesn't want wet food (rare) I can still mix it & use a syringe to feed it to him. It's not as bad since it doesn't leave a bad taste in his mouth.

-
Yes, that is an error we will fix. That medication is for both dogs and cats. Thank you, VetRxDirect
