So much better
From BROOKPORT, ILComments about Ciprofloxacin Eye DropsAfter surviving feline distemper, little Joe was left with a painful, cloudy, bulging eye, high fever and very enlarged eyeball. After a week's ise, his eye is no longer bulgi NG. Lymph nodes have drastically decreased in size. And his puil can be seen around the ulcer. He probably won't regain vision in that eye, but at least it is no longer painful. -
Medicine came with multiple refills

From undisclosedComments about Ciprofloxacin Eye DropsI'm pleased with the way my first order was handled with this company. Good products, but customer service is most important. -
I would buy this product again
From undisclosedComments about Ciprofloxacin Eye DropsThis was almost a quarter of the cost of similar drops from the vet. Product arrived quickly and is being used for an eye infection. My only negative statement is in regard to the vetrx customer service and their unwillingness to work with me as a first time customer with a site error leaving an item in my cart during checkout and their refusal to remedy the situation. -
Thanks for your fast service!!!🐕

My dog got hold of the bottle and was chewing it. She may have ingested some. She is about 5 months old and 20 pounds. Should i be concerned??
-
The adverse effects of Ciprofloxacin when administered to the eye include blurred vision, tearing, eye pain, redness, itching, and a bad taste in the mouth. If you think your pet ingested the solution they may have also gotten a bad taste, but we recommend contacting your veterinarian. If the bottle was punctured, or the tip was exposed, you may also need to get a new one because the eye drops will no longer be sterile.

My 8 year old cat went to the vet today with a upper respitory infection she was prescribed ciprofloxacin solution 0.3% for her eyes. Then the vet to also put 1 drop in each side of her nose. Never heard of this, so why would he tell me to do this? Just wondering?

Feline upper respiratory infections can cause symptoms such as sneezing, inflammation, conjunctivitis (pink eye), and discharge from the nose and eyes. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution may be given to treat infection in both the nose and eyes. To treat these symptoms, this medication is sometimes administered to the nose and the eyes. Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution may be given in addition to another antibiotic to provide multiple methods of treating the infection. It is important to give doses of antibiotic as directed by the veterinarian to ensure an appropriate treatment for your cat's symptoms. Thank you, VetRxDirect

MY DOG IS PREGNANT AND GOT HER EYE SCRATCHED BY THE CAT, I WANT TO KNOW IF OPHTHALMIC CIPRO CAN BE USED??
-
Liza, Ciprofloxacin ophthalmic product is Category C for pregnancy. What this means is that it has been studied in rats and mice at doses up to six times the usual daily human oral dose and has revealed no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus. With that said, the manufacturer recommends the product only be used if the benefits outweigh the risk. For this information we would have you contact your veterinarian for an appointment. Thank you, VetRxDirect

I understand obvious: antibiotics administered to prevent/combat bacteria from affecting normally unexposed part of eye (now compromised resultant of scratched cornea). But is there no treatment/med conducive to actually reconstructing cells in cornea??
-
cheecharoni, It's best to speak to your pet's veterinarian on this question. There are products promoted to help repair corneal injuries but your veterinarian would need to determine if they would be appropriate for your pet. Thank you, VetRxDirect

can I use ciprofloxacin ophthalmic solution prescribed in humans for my Dog?
-
Ciprofloxacin is a prescription medication, and as such, should never be used for your pet without a prescription from a veterinarian. Your dog's veterinarian would be able to best say if ciprofloxacin would be the appropriate course of treatment for your dog, if treatment is required, or if another medication would be appropriate.
