Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

Didn't do much for my cat
My kitten of 6 month has been having diarrhea ever since I got him, my vet suggests that the food he was on was too rich and he has a very sensitive tummy. So we tried switching his food to a vet recommended special diet and added fortiflora to his food everyday. He didn't seem to improve much, his diarrhea was still runny its been 2 weeks. The first thing in the ingredients is animal digest, I understand it's probably there to promote eating, but I'm not sure if that's helping with my kitten who's suppose to be on a very strict diet. One thing that baffled me was that this only had one strain of bacteria, and there was no guaranteed analysis of how much bacteria culture is in each pouch. I'm not giving this product a negative review solely because it didn't help my cat, there might be other underlying problems, but I'm just very disappointed that a product suggested by a vet was this low of quality. Now I won't know if probiotics is not helping because my cat has some other health problem or if it's because there's not enough bacteria culture in fortiflora (since I have no idea how much there is) and not enough variety.

Best thing you can give your dog!
From undisclosedComments about Calming CareYour dog needs this if he/she has diarrhea, very soft stools, excessive gas and your vet has examined the dog and cleared him/her of other health problems. If antibiotics, dietary changes, stress, persistent and periodic digestive issues are making you and your pet miserable, try this product for 30 days. You will soon know if this product will help your dog or not. Stop changing dog food every week according to what's on sale and give the dog a chance to adjust to some good pet food and daily FortiFlora mixed with the food. You and your dog will be glad you did. -
Been using this for a while

Excellent product
From Aliquippa, Pa.Comments about Calming CareMy 2 yr. old dog always seemed to have looser bowels, and this seems to help that, and my older dog started licking her butt constantly and them licking the spot where she had laid. I was really starting to worry, so I started her on it too, and guess what, it really worked on her and she doesn't do it anymore. Thank goodness! It worked on her right away. -

Tear stains are gone!
From Roanoke, TXComments about Calming CareI ordered Fortiflora (canine) for my 3 year old male English Bulldog with ulcerative colitis. He has been on Fortiflora since he was diagnosed over a year ago. While I was away from home, our pet sitter gave Fortiflora daily to our 2 year old white female English Bulldog also. We had tried several products for tear staining with no real good outcomes. Medicated wipes seemed to help a little but nothing had cleared up her rust stained wrinkles or stopped her excessive tearing. Six consecutive days of Fortiflora were enough to see big improvement when we returned home and now, two weeks later, she has just a faint pink tint to her wrinkles and no tearing. -
I will always use this product for my dogs.
From Lester, Pa.Comments about Calming CareAge can bring on intestinal changes. Fortiflora seems to be working well for my 12 yr. old mix dog . We can all use probiotics. Additional fiber also helps. -

From California, USAComments about Calming CareI purchased this for my eldest cat (17years old) that had intestinal cancer. This product helped her keep interested in eating. sad to say she passed away -
Helped restore my dog's digestive system to health
From MidwestComments about Calming CarePurchased this at the recommendation of our veterinarian for my Labrador, to help with her recovery from a whipworm infestation. Post deworming, which also involved a regimen of metaclopromide antibiotic (which of course kills any good gut bacteria along with the bad), Fortiflora restored her intestinal tract to a normal state. I am going to keep both of my dogs on Fortiflora from now on as part of their healthy diet plan. The price from Vet Rx Direct is the best I have found too, which helps. -
MIRACLE POWDER
From Baldwin, NYComments about Calming CareI was at my witts end until my vet suggested this to me after a 3rd visit with my 3 legged fluffa - who happens to be a maine coon cat with long hair. Due to his hind leg being gone he has trouble burying his stuff. He had had loose stools ever since i found him which was getting worse. Within 2 to 3 feedings his stools returned to normal. This was such a god send- trying to clean his bottom and furr was very unpleasant. It has no smell and is much less stressful on the pet than trying to get a pill down. Highly suggest this.-

My kitten got into the box... Can they overdose??
-
FortiFlora is a probiotic and contains no active medications, so your cat will not overdose. According to the manufacturer, the primary concern would be your cat ingesting the packaging materials (e.g. box, tape). If packaging materials were ingested, the manufacturer recommends to continue feeding your pet normally and observe them to ensure no intestinal blockage of the packaging materials. Speak to your veterinarian with further concerns.

What is the difference between this product and human probiotics??
-
Phillip, Fortiflora, just like all probiotics, contain live organisms to help promote intestinal health. Probiotics will vary to some degree, differing from the potency and number of different live organisms; fungus and bacteria. The choice of bacteria strain for FortiFlora has been specifically chosen for cats and dogs and also includes other ingredients: protein, fat, and fiber. Thank you, VetRxDirect /
