What a great experience!- l they'll be my 1st choice!
The medication was purchased for my dog who had a UTI due to chemotherapy treatments.
This is the first time that I have purchased medication like this via an online pharmacy.
I chose to use an online Pharmacy this time, because the chemotherapy has been so incredibly expensive, that I had to do something to cut costs somewhere and it was much cheaper for me to purchase the medication this way! This company was extremely professional and handled everything by calling the vet themselves in dealing with my various prescriptions, so that I didn't have to worry about anything!- and they did this in an extremely expedient time period, keeping me informed of the prescription processing all along the way with constant contact via email!

This medicine didn't make it to my pet before she passed
It said it was the generic for Clavamox, *******WARNING *****. It's not.
The two medicines differ in strength of the antibiotic (amoxicillin) however a dog that weighs less than 92 lbs should NOT be given this medication.

My Dr wrote for Augmenting 250/125 mg You only show stronger dosages can I still use and split The tablet??
-
Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium, generic for the human brand name Augmentin, is sold as a human-labeled generic drug that may be prescribed for extra-label use by a veterinarian to treat bacterial infections in dogs and cats. As a pet pharmacy, VetRxDirect only dispenses this medication with a veterinarian’s prescription for use in animals. At this time, we do not carry the Amoxicillin 250 mg/125 mg clavulanic acid strength. If this medication has been prescribed to your pet at this specific dosage, your veterinarian would need to include specific directions for splitting the 500 mg tablet.

Can I give this to a pregnant cat??
-
In humans, the FDA categorizes this drug as a category B for use during pregnancy (animal studies have not yet demonstrated risk to the fetus, but there are no adequate studies in pregnant women; or animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate studies in pregnant women have not demonstrated a risk to the fetus in the 1st trimester of pregnancy, and there is no evidence of risk in later trimesters). Augmentin (amoxicillin-clavulanate), being a penicillin derivative with a wide safety margin, is traditionally considered safe in a pregnant cat and should not present a risk to the newborn. Consult with your veterinarian to confirm that Amoxicillin and Clavulanate is appropriate for your pregnant cat.
