Allermyl has helped calm Rosie's skin
From UndisclosedComments about Allermyl Shampoo 16ozOur veterinarian suggested Allermyl to help calm Rosie's irritated skin, she has dust and storage mite allergies, and her skin becomes inflamed and darkened. It really does help her skin clear, but remember to follow the directions on the bottle, wash twice, and leave soapy foam on for 10 minutes each time.-

Get Rid Of Allergies !
From UndisclosedComments about Allermyl ShampooThis is THE best shampoo for dogs with allergies, and I have tried them all! I always do a double bath and use a rubber pronged scrubber in a circular motion. Great results every time. It should be noted that some dogs can require in addition, an allergy shot every six weeks depending upon the severity. -

I have 2 30 mg tabs given to me June 21. The envelope says exp 8/21. What is the mfg info on shelf life? Surely it is longer than 2 months, although if I give them now, they would have to be good for ten months. Thankyou?
-
Once the expiration date has passed there is no guarantee that the medicine will be safe and effective. The manufacturer does not provide data regarding the rate of drug degradation after the expiration date. It is not recommended to use expired medications due to potential health risks.

What will happen if my dog was given 2 doses of Virbantel on the same day? i.e. 4 tablets instead of 2 tablets?
-
If you witness or suspect your dog has an overdose of this medication, please contact your veterinarian immediately.

What is the recommended dosage? Is it once, twice or more per event? thanks?
-
The manufacturer's recommended dosage is based on weight of the animal, which we have included below. Virbantel is used as a single treatment to kill and control intestinal worms, and does not prevent new ones. Re-treatment may be necessary if your pet is re-infected with worms, but it should be determined by your veterinarian. The deworming schedule may vary depending on the climate where you live and the activity of your dog. Do I need a prescription for virbac? I have a small kennel. Can I buy a whole bottle vs per pill? If so, what is the cost for the 114mg bottle??
-
Susan, The Virbantel does not require a prescription. It is priced per tablet so you can buy 50 tablets that come in a bottle but it would still be sold per tablet. The 114mg tablets are $8.99 per tablet so for the bottle of 50, it would be roughly $450. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Does the owner as well need to take medicine at the same time as the dog deworms especially if they sleep togethe?
-
Virbantel is a prescription-only product for dogs that is not approved for human use. It is important to remember to never share prescription medications as they are prescribed on an individual-patient basis. If you are concerned about your own health, it would be important to speak with a medical doctor in order to determine the need for treatment and to select an appropriate medication. I gave my 17 pound Boston Terrier one dose on 3/22 for roundworms. She is now exhibiting the same symptoms again, although I took her to the vet and they said there were no eggs in her stool. Should I redose her??
-
Mega, Virbantel is an over-the-counter medication that is effective in treatment and control of roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Re-treatment may be necessary as determined by laboratory fecal examination or if you dog is in an area where reinfection is likely to occur. In this case, your veterinarian did not receive a positive test, but if symptoms continue you should follow-up with your pet's veterinary clinic. For guidance and usage on Virbantel please contact your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this product really, really fragrance free? I have severe allergies and cannot tolerate the shampoo currently used by my vet on my kitty. I would like to buy your product to take with me the next time I have my cat groomed.?
-
Danny, The labeling on Allermyl shampoo indicates that it is dye- and fragrance-free. The intended purpose of the shampoo is to help manage allergic skin conditions on dogs and cats, not necessarily airborne allergens; though it may be beneficial in that respect as well, there is no information provided. If you are interested in the most current ingredient information, the manufacturer, Virbac, can be contacted at (800) 338-3659. Thank you, VetRxDirect
