Any idea on when clomipramine (specifically 50mg) will be back? Getting desperate as human pharmacy pricing went from $30/3 mo supply to $1300.Thank you-Brooke?

Brooke, The cost of clomipramine has risen dramatically in recent months. We are able to carry it, but the price would be similar to the cost you are seeing in human pharmacies. Because of the huge price increase, we are not carrying at this time. If we find that we are able to acquire it less expensively, we will stock it again. We do have some strengths of the Clomicalm which is a vet-branded clomipramine. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Our dog takes Clomipramine (75mg 2x per day). Now that it's out of stock, what is the substitute??
-
Eva, Clomipramine is within a drug class known as the tricyclic antidepressants or TCA's. There are other drugs in this class that work similar to Clomipramine. Please consult your dog's veterinarian as to what options are available and what the best route is for your dog. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Joel, There appears to be an issue with the availability of the raw material used to make these capsules. We do not have an expected date of availability. Until then, please see our other clomipramine for pets currently available. Thank you, VetRxDirect
