I have noticed an improvement in my dog's skin & shedding.
From Northeast, OhioComments about AscentaCheck with your Vet on how much of this product to use. Since my dog is a Senior on a few meds, I asked his Vet about giving this product. She said it would be good, just to maybe give every other day as too much Omega 3 may cause loose stools. It has done very well in that I do not notice "dandruff" on him any more and he seems to be shedding less now. I just put a little over his food and he has no problem consuming it. -
Works great and will definitely be buying it again.

no fish smell, can't smell a smoky flavor but the dog loves
From Wilbraham, MAComments about Ascentagreat for us when the dog got sick with liver disease at 8 yrs and started being a picky eater, wouldn't take the usual Pollack oil or salmon oil. this is great alternative to soft capsules down the throat. -
High quality product
From Northern CaliforniaComments about AscentaI use this fish oil over my dogs' food and even my finicky eater likes it. It has a nice smell of smoked meat, instead of the fishy smell other oils have. Since I started using it, I noticed how my fragile dog became healthier and I know it helped with her allergies too.

The "description" says this is flavored with beef; however I do not see this ingredient listed on the "package insert". Also, it says this is a product of Canada; can you tell me if the source of the ingredients are from Canada? Thank you.?

According to the manufacturer webpage, Ascenta CanineOmega3 has a “smoky meat flavor.” It is reported that this flavor does not come from actual meat nor is it smoked, but is a natural flavoring made from materials such as vegetable and spice extracts combined to resemble a flavor-- it is noted that the natural flavoring does not contain common food allergens such as wheat, gluten, soy, or peanuts. Ascenta is a Canadian-based company. The site reports that source of it’s raw materials are from reputable bulk oil suppliers from throughout the world, but that the softgels are made by a contracted manufacturer. The Canadian Institute of Fisheries Technology performs PureCheck testing for purity, quality, and label claims of Ascenta products. Thank you, VetRxDirect
